Making your own iPhone ringtone is as simple as a walk in the Park. This only works on files music DRM, so it is compatible to be used as ringtones songs purchased from iTunes. 12. right-click and select "Rename" to change the file extension to m4r.
13. double-click the file and will be opened in iTunes.
14. the file is now ready for use as a ringtone for your iPhone. connect and sync ringtones and you're all set.
